Engagement at New Life Community Church

At New Life Community Church, we believe that we must not only “talk the talk” but also “walk the walk”. Christ calls on us to be a light and heart to the world. Through the various ways we engage, we try to do exactly that. New Life Community Church supports, participates with, and sponsors several missions. We urge everyone to support these missions as well. Contact NLCC to find out more about all of these wonderful programs and ways in which you yourself can help! You may also contact the programs directly to learn more about them and become a partner in hope. We thank you for your prayers and ongoing support of our missions. Please check our website regularly to find out more about our various missions, both old and new. Together we will change someone’s world one act at a time!

Box Tops for Education

We collect and distribute the box tops for education labels from products to several elementary schools in the area. If you are not currently saving these for another school, please consider saving them for NLCC to forward to a local school. Each box top is worth money to the school to use towards programs and projects for children.

Heifer International

Heifer International

We are currently building an ark through the Heifer program. This is a new ongoing project of fundraising to supply a needy village with an “ark” full of animals. The animals are given to a village to raise, breed, and care for so that both food and money can be realized for the village. Chickens can lay eggs for both food and to sell, sheep provide wool, oxen can help plow fields, etc. An ark costs $5,000. Please contact us if this sounds like something you would love to be a part of! There is always room on the ark, and together we can be a rainbow in a sometimes cloudy world.

Roger and Sue Scheenstra – Kenya

The Scheenstras work with a semi-nomadic people who pasture their herds in a desert region of Eastern Africa. This ethnic group, which is 99 percent Muslim, has very limited access to health, agricultural, and educational services; many suffer from malnourishment, illiteracy, and high childhood mortality. Though the physical needs are great, their spiritual needs are even greater. The RCA is in partnership with an indigenous mission group as part of a team to be a Christian witness that seeks to proclaim the gospel through relationships and everyday interactions while working to help meet physical needs through community development and healthcare. Your support helps provide food, wells, schooling, bibles, clothing, and a medical clinic.
